What a successful training week last week was!

Two 12-mile tempo runs and a 24-mile long run. And two strength training sessions mixed in, which I have not neglected my legs in this season! My legs were tired by the time the long run on Saturday came around. Phew! That’s one of the things I love/hate about marathon training – love the dedication and commitment, sometimes don’t love all of the effort so much, but always, always, always love the feeling of accomplishment afterward!

I felt pretty accomplished and generally just tired afterwards on Saturday. I’d had my desires set on baking a homemade apple pie (crust and all) and it came out delightful!

Thank you everyone who has supported me through caring and cheering me on, and through supporting my fundraising efforts this season! I’m very grateful for your support and also to be healthy and strong!

I’m still working towards the goal of raising $1000 by November 7. I’ve made the benchmark of $750, thank you for that! It’s for Sportsbackers’ Youth Programs and helping give the opportunity for kids to participate in run clubs! If you’ve felt a nudge to help, even just $10 or $25 can make a difference. I’ll share the link below!

Looking forward to Richmond Marathon day on November 15!!
