Anyone else feel like life has been a bit of a blur since February? I was talking with someone one day recently and they were exclaiming, “how is it April already?” and I recalled to them that 2-week span in February when the ice storm hit in Richmond and how many of us were wishing it would melt .. “That’s where the time went, we wished it away right there!” 😂

In seriousness, it’s been a busy month for me and I wanted to take a moment to reflect back on some key points – yes, out loud, and share with you.

From:

Our open houses we have been doing,

To recertifying my CPR/AED:

Can of local coffee to stay awake during seated portion of CPR AED class

To the SPCA Dog Jog:

Dogs with tongues out looking happy

To finally getting back into yoga (I’ve been talking about it for a good 2 years):

To going back to a pottery class after 14 months off:

To helping to put on a Mobility Workshop that benefitted Bentleys and Beagles, a local all-breed animal rescue thanks to Yelp Richmond:

To giving a presentation at WellcomeMD, a local concierge medical clinic:

To being a sponsor for the Airpark 5k, having some of the coolest tote bags I’ve seen (because they’re branded for us), as well as participating, taking home a 2nd place female finish amidst a not-so-fun sinus infection/pollen hurricane of sorts:

To a team event at a trampoline park that was a ton of fun with ninja-warrior-style obstacles:

To getting the opportunity to work a garden plot at the community garden this year:

To enjoying an afternoon of music played from people’s porches in a neighborhood in Richmond, Porchella is a spring festivity that I enjoy.

This isn’t everything. I celebrated Roo’s 8th birthday (I will do a separate post on this) and also celebrated 2 years alcohol-free. Sober. Healthy. Happy from within. Grateful in ways I never had imagined for my life. (I’ll do a separate post on this as well).

I have much writing to do, I have a first book to finish, to begin a second book, in my process-oriented style.

In the meantime, I took some time out this evening here to slow down, recount and look at the events of the past month, and will go to sleep with gratitude for these things and all of the other things in between. Oh, the joy in the complexity and variety of life!

Don’t wish any of the days away.

🌸 Happy Spring to you!
