All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.
Brian Tracy
When you wake up in the morning, stumble out of bed, and, let’s get real, head to the bathroom, when you then look in the mirror, what do you see?
No really. I mean, what does that little voice in your head say when you look at yourself? Maybe an even better question, what are you looking for? To see how crazy your hair looks? Our internal dialogues are so important to where we are going and what we are doing with our lives, in every aspect.
For me, I have a “goal card” written out that I look at daily. I don’t just look at it, I speak it, out loud. I get my brain thinking constructively for the day. I look in the mirror and say things to myself like, “Today is going to be fabulous.” “I’m going to help a lot of people today.” “I am beautiful. Fit. Strong. Passionate. Loving. Successful.”
What are you saying? What are your internal thoughts when you look at yourself when you wake up? How about when you go to bed?
Let me challenge you today to take a few minutes and write out an index card of your top 3 goals and place it on your mirror so you can read it, out loud, to yourself every morning. Then, do it! Read it as you are waking up and before you retire to bed.
Our brains are like cameras — whatever we focus in on is what picture will develop. What picture do you want to see?
