As a child, were you ever asked, “If you could have ANY superpower, what would it be??”
My response: “to FLY!!”
I am ecstatic to share that I finally got that opportunity.
This is a big deal. I’m seeing generational fears – fears passed down from my mother and her mother and so forth .. destroyed. My mother has never flown. She’s been afraid of heights – as was I, for a period of time. I believe one day she will do it, though. (How else do you get to Hawaii.)
I’ve always wanted that perspective – to see the world in a way that, in my understanding, God has. To go higher than the clouds and experience the sunshine.
All in all, it was an amazing experience. I’ve gleaned much from it! I’ll share a lot of it with you. 🙂
What is on your “bucket” list? Do you have one? Instead of a bucket list, can we make it a personal to-do list? Flying was on mine for 2015. And then the opportunity presented itself. So, I took it!
Today’s Dare: Make a list of the things you really desire in your heart to do/see/experience. Don’t limit your thinking. No matter how outlandish it may seem, write it down.
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life. – Proverbs 13:12
love you!
Great to hear that you had your first flight and you even loved it. Flying is something special and even though I got around 50 flights each year, I still love it each time 🙂
That’s wonderful news, Moritz! I am really looking forward to doing it again. I was hoping, on my return flight home this past time, that it won’t lose its luster in my eyes. So, your comment is encouraging! 🙂
Great to hear! 🙂
