One of the coolest rituals I developed back in 2015 was a year in review – writing down and taking account of all the events of the year, looking back over them and the things that I learned.
I was ecstatic to get the opportunity to do that again for 2016 when we had the snowstorm about a month ago. I was also reading through Tim Ferriss’ 4 Hour Workweek and Tools of Titans and his blog and came across a slew of key questions to apply to my year, things like, “what 20% of all the things that I did made me happiest,” and the same type of questioning applied to what was most effective not only in my work but in my life and relationships.
- Who are the top 20% of relationships in your life that make you the happiest?
- What are the top 20% of things you spend time doing that make you feel the best?
- What are the top 20% of things you do in your work that produce 80% of the desired results you’re looking for?
Basically, what’s most effective?
I set into 2017 focusing on these things. Now, over a month in, I’m pretty excited about all that is going on. Intentionally creating and embracing all that I want ..
Do you do an inventory of life, too?
